Marianne Casilio is a Research Speech-Language Pathologist in the Aging and Adult Language Disorders Lab. Her primary role is to coordinate research on an NIH-funded grant focused on building computer algorithms for automatic classification of paraphasias in post-stroke aphasia. Her clinical/research interests include assessment and treatment of adults with neurogenic communication disorders.

Mikala Fleegle is a Research Speech-Language Pathologist whose primary role is to coordinate research on an NIH-funded grant focused on building computer algorithms for automatic classification of paraphasias in post-stroke aphasia. Her clinical/research interests include assessment and treatment of adults with neurogenic communication disorders. Outside the lab, Mikala enjoys hiking, camping, biking, and knitting.

Melissa Ugianskis

Melissa Ugianskis, MPH is a public health researcher and consultant for preventive intervention services. With a Master’s in Public Health and taking post-baccalaureate coursework in speech language pathology, Melissa continues to be an advocate for lessening barriers to care within the Portland metro area and around the country.
Khanh Nguyen is a PSU alumna, and an incoming student in the Speech-Language Pathology Master's program at San Diego State University. She is passionate about serving the bilingual community and advancing research that improves Speech-Language services and outcomes for this and other underserved populations. She aspires to be a Vietnamese-English bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist.

Mia Cywinski
A Portland State University alumna, Mia holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She will begin pursuing her speech-language pathology master’s degree at PSU this summer. Mia joined the lab in Fall 2019 and has enjoyed learning more about research. In her free time, she enjoys writing music, baking, and hiking.
